How
it all started
Established in April 1977, Ohio Valley Federal
Credit Union is a non-profit, full-service
financial
institution with assets approaching $20 million and serving
over 5,000 members.
Originally
the credit union was chartered as Milacron Employees Federal
Credit Union, to serve the employees of Cincinnati Milacron,
Inc. In later years, the name was changed to Milacru Federal
Credit Union, and more recently to Ohio Valley Federal Credit Union to better serve a more diverse field of membership.
With deregulation in the 1980s, the credit union was permitted
to accept groups and organizations outside the industrial
field, which gave even more people the benefit of credit union
membership.
Ohio Valley FCU
is a federally chartered credit union, organized under strict
regulatory laws that are monitored and enforced by the National
Credit Union Administration, an agency of the U.S. Government.
The NCUA
insures each members account up to a total of $100,000.
In addition,
ASI/ESI (Excess Share Insurance) insures each member's account
for an additional $250,000 for a total combined coverage of
$350,000.
